18year old dutch boy born in Venlo with CFTD (cognital fibre type disproportion) this is a muscular disease. My favourite thing to do is (ofcourse) wheelchairhockey. I’m participating in this sport for around 10 years now and i enjoy it with all i have. The most beautiful thing about it is just the passion everyone haves for the sport. That’s just amazing. I came in contact with wheelchair hockey since i was 7 (that declares my player number) On my school we had gym lessons for people in a wheelchair. I participated in all of those gym sessions (even if it wasn’t my own class who had gym) I enjoyed it so much. Then i looke for a club and ended up in HCB (Blerick) this club started from the ground with unexperienced players. The first year as an organisation, we’ve only practiced the sport and getting better at the basics. After that we did competition. The first 2 years me and my club went into competition we were declared champions (2009/2010 and 2010/2011) and went to the class nr1. In the winter of season 2010/11 the dutch national team had a talentscout day and i was invited. The team invited me to come and train with them and eventually was part of the team. I also went on searching for a higher playing club in the competition. That’s where i found meyra ISVA Arnhem (now knows as Upward) I have some super great years with this club and we’re an fantastic team. I’m glad to play on the international stage again. Especially the world champion since last time i wasn’t eligible to play.
